In las vegas u have to buy chips by either paying cash or swiping ur card. The chips are available in diff denominations and are rfid tagged. They dont offer u currency notes as it is illegal for any agency other than federal reserve to issue them. When u take the chips back to the cashier they will encash it and give u back the money.
