I have an Old Kettle made in England from the pre-independence Era.
The Function is Anti Poison:
When a hen / any living thing is given a poision it dies. If you give water to it then there is no change.
But if you give the water kept in this kettle to the hen / any living thing ie. poisoned it becomes alive again, as if nothing have happened.
The item is location at Darjeeling [West Bengal].
