Is the RP business real

A very warm regards. I need a VERY HUGE HELP from you. I would like to know if any RP deal has been successfully done and settlements were really made. Because I have been approached by some of my friends asking wether I have any materials in hand, who has 10-15 years experience in this field. But for all this time, they are the same as I saw them before a long time. I don't see any changes in their financial background. Is RP a really existing business? Can you give me a clear view about it. It would be really helpful because, I got details of such a material which they asked for (A 7 kg pot, MR/RR 60/20). Before forwarding these details to my friends I want to understand what this business is all about.
