I am selling this ancient medal called the Seringapatam Medal. The Seringapatam Medal, commisionned by the East India Company in 1801, was a Conrad einrich-designed military medal distributed to those soldiers who contributed to the British victory in the 1799 Battle of Seringapatam against armies of Tipu Sultan, suler of the Southern India in the kingdom of Mysore. The medals were manufactured in the Soho Mint.
