Mix kumkum and Turmeric in a glass of water and put salagram in it then turmeric and kumkum will get seperated to an extent

Cotton Test
Wrap 7 layers of cotton cloth on salagram and shown on fire the 1st 2 to three layers wont burn and only shows black colour
