It is noticed that elephant tusk sale banned in India. It is against law to sell or acquire tusks. Should be done without legal notice. I would like to know how much you are expecting from this sale. If it is less price we can acquire because we need it for medicinal purpose.

i too want to know ..... i have victoria coins....is it illegal to sell it
it dates back to 1860 and 1895......and some ram durbar coins of 1818

is it illegal to sell or buy rice pullers??

My dear friend if an item is above 100 years selling that item is illegal. as per law if an item is above 100 years it is government property and you cannot sell that item , if you are caught selling the government will confesticate the item and go to court.. if he gets it registered he cannot sell it. But what abid said is right you need to at least know the history. As the sellers would be interested in buying only when you know what is it, the metal, the properties, the decade and other details.

Hi mate, just an advice to you in a good intention,
First understand the concept of antique, what makes something antic and valuable? Anything old is never can be valuable, antic is valued by its history! So first try and find the history behind the article u holding dig ur family history where it came from then tree if some historical person gifted then it will, secondly make ownership declaration for it ,third and most importand get it registerd in Arch. Dept. Of India. they will give you antiq registration cirtificate. Then you can approach to auction houses or antique dealers.

I have an enquiry abt a product i hold with me which is an antique material carryforwarded from my ancestors ,and very much i can say worthy and genuine ..
product discription :

date :200 years back ..

Two elephant tusks parallel with a mirror between ,hope this brings an image allready ..

hight 2 feet ,fully carved on the panel .. rose wood finishing ..[/img]

plz let me know if this can be sold ,and how do i approch and what price can i
