Iridium is made into an alloy with Platinum which is used in high tension electrical contacts because of the rigidity of the metal and in some medical fields.

Iridium tri-chloride as a catalyst used in propellers engines of rockets as a hydrazine.

Iridium isotope IR192 is used in cancer treatments and not in electricity manufacturring.

Iridium can be used to convert Sun light into chemical energy like photosynthesis

Iridium salts give very strong colours.

Iridium available in the universe is 2 parts per billion.

They are abundant in different planets and meteors.

So some years back such meteor struck temple tower kalasams might have got the traces of Iridium salts which turn rice into green colour or other colours, but availability of these metals may be very rare and discreet.

But so many people claiming for such metals to be in their possession and claiming so many crores is not logical and practical.

Without having any mystical or high profile use for such metals quoting so much and claiming can not be true.
